For Bachelor's degree programs, most European universities require a minimum GPA of 2.6 to 2.8 in 10+2 (Grade 12). For Master's programs, a 4-year Bachelor's degree with an aggregate score of 55%-65% (or GPA 2.8+) is standard across Nordic and Western European institutions.
The required proof of living expenses varies by country. For Sweden, Migrationsverket requires SEK 10,656 per month (approx. SEK 106,560 for 10 months). For Germany, a blocked account containing EUR 11,904 per year is mandated. For Finland, students must show EUR 6,720 per year (EUR 560/month).
Public universities in Germany offer tuition-free higher education to all students regardless of nationality (only a semester contribution of EUR 150-350 applies). In Germany, the Ausbildung program is completely tuition-free and actually pays a monthly stipend of EUR 900-1,300. In Sweden and Finland, non-EU students pay tuition but can receive 25% to 100% merit-based tuition waivers.
